and then you called

Posted to Poetry

and then you called
and the world disappeared
and spring was magic in your voice
and all my sighs were cleared
and here i was in wonder of my choice
and bluebirds soared in skies 'round dew so wet
and palms in sweet sweat
and where am i, i wondered, and how to let
.....oh how to let
.....the soft of silent music sway
.....oh how to let
.....the new of day
.....ensue
.....so true
.....in passioned play

and then your voice
resounded on an echo of my ear
and then i knew this time so clear
and then your voice
imploded, yet with softened style
upon my heart's resilience
and i heard your smile

and then you called
and then you called
the stroke of clocks that tick
had stalled

and time stood still,
my heart in fill
no emptiness of fate
you called and it was never late
never late
.....oh how to let
.....the soft of silent music sway
.....oh how to let
.....the new of day
.....ensue
.....so true
.....in passioned play

and so i write you down
the sweetness of the sound
of you, embraced in me
so true so true

inflections on the sky in blue
the blues, the jazz, the sound of you
my here my now
i'm bound to you

and then you called
and then you called

oh how i love the sound of you
