you didn't bring me down

Posted to Poetry

I like sad poems much better than happy poems....I'm weird that way. When you talked of no sorrow...sleep without dreams...I just assumed you meant death. Anyone could take it a different way though, it all depends on where you think that freedom, that tranquility occurs. To me it won't come till death and that's just a sad thought and that made the poem sad to me...make sense? There is no need to be sorry, I enjoy your work. If I had to choose between reading a "happy" poem or a "sad" poem I'd pick a sad one...that's just me. Oh and yes, sleep is a VERY good thing...then again it can be a bad thing. I sleep all my days away....
