fragmentary anxiety

fragmentary anxiety
cut like quick winds in grass fields
feel the blades between my toes
and fluttering in my stomach
loathing the day
loathing the way they all look at me
when i look up and have nothing to say
nothing to say to their unmoving part
their particle tongue honed down and sharpened
for impaling young men who don't know their pen
like the back of their hands
their barnyard commands keep me curt on demand
hear a band in the back of my head saying fuck this, just give me some rock
some ramone and some roll, i need marky's drum roll
to console all this loathing and make me a monster
a monkeyt, giant ape
not ashamed to reach right in and grab those fuckers out there
from THEIR windows
instead of letting them catch me
