the nation mourns jamelah's loss, as she was a symbol of wit and wisdom. her thoughts on the world, published in the collection of essays delusions of grandeur contained such ground-breaking work as "why eyebrow plucking is good" and "bees: they make honey."

she is survived by her husband, joe schmo, and her two children, joe jr. and mary ellen.
