don't give up the consciousness
I am alive
I can live forever
as long as i don't succumb
just keep the ember glowing
suck in blow out
don't worry 'bout the pain
it's keeps me sentient
eyes open, i can see
listen carefully
yes, it's vanna
spinning that wheel again
stay awake, stay alive
i can feel these crisp
stiff white hospital sheets
I must still be alive
I can smell the unchanged bed pan
Thank you jesus for another day
I can taste the jello
the clear broth
oh briny bliss
It's great to be alive
