BF Skinner, what a winner
"Skinner maintains that existing societies are badly managed, mainly because we believe in myths such as free will. People are no freer than pigeons, Skinner asserts, and to deny that our behavoir is controlled is to deny scientific truth. Instead, Skinner asks us to accept that we are just as controlled as pigeons and rats, and apply the established laws of learning to ourselves. If we do this, Skinner concludes, society will be much better managed , and everyone will be happy under the control of positive reinforcement (Leahey, Thomas Hardy; Richard Jackson Harris; "Learning and Cognition", pg 129, 2001 Prentice Hall, New Jersey)
What an ass.
