i saw you

I saw you. You did it with the sureness of a slashing samurai, robes swirling up and about him like ascendant spiral smoke trails, eyes as sure and steady as an eagle’s in descendent kill, his wings rigid and extended in the self-righteousness that clutches your back as if in static cling, easily dislodged but as hard to place hands upon as one’s heartbeat, thrumming through the ears, nearly imperceptible but for that reason all the more powerful and as constant as highway seams steadily drilling their way into one’s unconscious which huddles in the trunk with irate mutterings as unheard as if they were never spoken, but thought so loudly as to contort the face in unmistakable expression: a harsh rolling of the eyes in a turned head, a smile that tickles the ear in tender embrace.
