Your poem reminded me of this book by Alan Lightman called Einstein's Dreams. In it are all of these little different imaginings of how time works. Different perceptions of how time works. Worlds where time has stopped (or at least people think it has). Worlds where time flows at different rates in different places. Worlds without memory. Pleasant reading. Three page, four page stories.
