that's at least along the line of the question

at what point if there is one (and i know it's subjective and probably a line that is not rigid) where one's quality of life makes it no longer life.

I read a book one time by a guy in an iron lung, an avid tennis player and physician (before he was struck) but he carried on as a psychologist and author, but it has to be a hard way to go, I'd feel like a prisoner of my own existence. Tough choice to unplug or go on like that.
