Yesterday I watched football and read The Yage Letters by Burroughs and Ginsberg. An interesting book, really it belongs more with Borges and Hudson and Don Segundo Robles than it does with drug literature. Or simply, it belongs with Burroughs' other work to illuminate and define, or next to early South American journalism of Hunter Thompson. Okay. A quick read. Not a bad book. "Bum kicks."--Burroughs.
