I've been out of touch with the art world for a bit too long. I hadn't heard of Martin Creed, but his work sounds interesting. One has to appreciate art "characterised by a gentle but subversive wit and by a minimalism rooted in an instinctive anti-materialism," especially when it "attempts to short-circuit the visually overloaded, choice saturated culture in which we live." (I quote from you site you referenced. Very nice.)
I wrote "Fone (1982)" twenty years ago as part a collection I called Junk Poetry -- although the poem didn't have a title until last night. I didn't realize it then, but those poems were basically a stream of dada-influenced consciousness.
