i wear boat pajamas

Posted to Action Poetry

tinkle little dog run away
i smell dinner minutes away
dusk fallingaway
blue and mother bright
her eyes, her hair
do you feel the hush
of the wood
rising along the walls
a barking moon
against the darkening light
a boy whistling on the street
biking past my house
i hear teenage girls,
behind closed bedroom doors
huddled, hands on hips
huh! did I say that?
yelling at the teenage boys
about last night
i see my woman
winking back at me
hey, did you see that?

in the pyramids
when the sun shines hot
elvis laughs and giggles
