I have not been alone
for God knows how long
Holding back thyself
I am the Mother
to many it seems
but how i wish I could have
Just at least one night
to be me again
and dance out in the moonlight
I am mother to a teenager
with child resting unborn
I awake smiling usually each morn
Revel in thine intimacy
a moment snatched undercover
my own lover
tingle with my power
the earth mother flower
and keeper of the children how I long to BE
