You roll out the words
In a rill of velvet black ribbon
It unfurls abruptly
Beautifully for that
In my direction
Flattening itself mid air on its silky pretty belly
And slaps my skin sharply
In fierce flirtation

I'm thinking it's meant to hold my hair back
From my mouth
When I reach over in a just a second
To kiss you
