peace inniatives was the Marshall plan at the end of W.W.II when the victors rebuilt the physical and social infrastructure of the defeated nations. The process itself made it very dificult for the European powers to ever wage war on each other again.
Perhaps we should be working harder to give the African nations a health system rather than creating ever greater wealth.
Perhaps we should wake up each morning and say, I promise I will not kill anyone today!

Perhaps after rooting out the Taliban we should be rebuilding the Afghan health and educational systems.
Perhaps we should offer the Israeli and Palestines . . . ? ? ?
