Kerouac's book of Buddhist thought?

Shrimp, are you aware of the lengthy book Kerouac wrote entitled "some of the dharma?" Surely he must have studied various aspects of eastern thought; not just any old slouch can write a book of that length in such detail giving hundreds of images of past buddhist scholars and sages. He clearly did his work, and as far as the buddhist staple of not eating it meat, well, you'll find many buddhists breaking that rule with the reality that by not eating meat one is stepping outside the dominion of evolution.
