The thing with people not printing things because they aren't economical is essentially how news has always worked, so long as there's been any kind of mass-media. The formula of close-to-free content given away with lots of paid advertising has been in effect since the very, very early days of journalism. We never do hear everything. Although, I do wonder: why are we hearing so much about the girl kidnapped from her home in Utah?
