love can be myth
or a viceral needing
filling a gap
where there'd only be bleeding
love is a kiss on the forehead
even when hair is receeding
love is putting your book down
when you've not finished reading
love is being sorry
without any pleading
love is trying to keep rhyming
with no more words ending 'eeding
