i've been pondering your question... beatnik art, per se, i don't believe exists, however, during the same time period (50's,60's) a movement called 'abstract expressionism' made a mighty impact in the art world, with artists like Mark Rothko, Jacson Pollack, Willem de Kooning, etc.. that had amazing tales to be told, altho they were not writers, so were not classified in the 'beat movement'.

in searching out the bios of these painters, there were some great stories of desolation and despair, seekers and pilgrims, that mirrored the beat writers.
