am i or am i not?

Look. I’m young and am a struggling writer. In the past months, I’ve been invited to poetry readings and stuff here in the Philippines and have been branded a beat poet. God, it was so flattering. But do I fucking deserve it? I mean. I do like the Beats and all, and I am fascinated by what they were able to accomplish, but what exactly did I do to be branded as such?!
