I read “off the road”,recently translated in french , a great book by Carolyn Cassady. She shows us a different face of her husband Neal Cassady. The man with several lifes.
Cassady and Kerouac burnt their wings like Icare, prisoners of their own image.
She explained that Neal becoming the Cow-Boy Neal at the Wheel of the bus was less and less himself, he had to do “his” show, what everybody expected of him.
What I would like to know it is if Kesey saw his pain and the inevitable tragedy => he falled down and died too much is too much
Why nobody tried to help him?
