On Manipulative Politics

Posted to Poetry and Politics

By this i mean the lack of explicating real political motivations and making them the real public agenda.
Eg... a politician/government/state/social representitive body needs oil, and so, derives a huge complex plan of attack against eastern sources of said material... this, however, is never explicitly said... but... even worse... false motivations replaces the truth...
replaced why? to manipulate the public....
[but, here on litkicks, this is common sense]

On manipulative politics... what is it exactly? Supplanting an alternative, more agreeable conceptual basis over a less agreeable, less humane motivation... don't they admit their wrong-doing by engaging in such 'cover-ups'? If they have to alternate concepts in order to gain public support, they are implicitly undermining their own methods...

anyway... to get to the point... this "method" the coin-flipping conceptual phantasmagoria is everywhere - in ads that sell using ideology, and 'style' (as opposed to the products use), in TV shows, films, in documentaries, and especially on the news - these seemingly endless IDEAlistic pummellings... the unending barrage of misleading information... does it exhaust anybody else... trying to keep one's head above water? FOr me, attempting to remain uncorrupted by such a continuous stream of falsity takes a hell of a lot of energy, the struggle to refuse their ideas of a home in my head...
