No question

I may not agree with your philosophical positions, Earth Guru, but when it comes to a question of which writer is more influential, Ayn Rand or Charles Bukowski, well, it's no question at all.

Bukowski is a funny, clever, enjoyable read but I don't recall EVER getting in any heated intellectual discussions as a result of his work. Oh, yeah, maybe an argument here or there about which German reisling to drink but that hardly seems to count.

Despite the flaws I find in Ayn Rand's iron-fisted viewpoints and unswerving dogmatic certainty, she wins for being the more important contributer to 20th century literature & ideas.

Sorry, Buk.
