"These same lazy corporations would have to get off their asses in pure capitalism because it is essentially the individuals that hold power over the corporations. LIke I said before, if enough people hated Ford enough to no longer buy their cars, Ford could be shut down within a year. That is the power of true democracy by virtue of free individuals."

Corporations hold power over the information that reaches those people. Let's take sweatshops as an example. Everyone knows they exist. Yet the companies that use them are still some of the most powerful in the world. Why? Because they don't let the information become readily available. You don't commonly see reports of sweatshops in the news, because television channels are sponsored by the companies that use them. Thus, people aren't confronted with the problem, and continue to support corrupt corporations.
