are not inseparable. You may think you choose your politics on the cold hard geometry of facts, but you don't. Choice is made on the basis of feeling. Feelings are composed of god knows what, but they have an aesthetic component. If you grant me this then you may agree that the quality of these feelings can be appraised. Perhaps I used the word poetry too loosely. What feelings made you choose such an apparently cold, existential, material world view?
