I knew a woman by Theodore Roethke
I am an Austrian student of English and American literature.
At the moment I am working on the poem, I knew a woman by Theodore Roethke.
Do you happen to know more about the line 25 where he says, "I swear she cast a shadow white as stone" and line 15
"Love likes a gander, and adores a goose".
Also do you have some general info on the images Roethke uses in this poem?
Have you got some internet links or can you send me some info on this poem?
Can I read through some posted essays on your website about Theodore Roethke?
Thank you very much for your help!
