Not quibbling with the point of this listing (which is a good one), but the US didn't really bomb El Salvador or Nicaragua in the 80s (not directly, anyway).

In El Salvador, we merely supported the extreme right wing elements of the country and, by extension, their Death Squads.

In Nicaragua (excluding the fact that the CIA did mine their harbors), we had Oliver North and the boys set up the Contras to wage that war for us. Eugene Hasenfus was just dropping munitions for others to use, he wasn't actually dropping bombs.

But 18, or 20, whatever. The point's well made. Good quote following too.
