1973.
The year America overthrew the democratically-elected Chilean government to put General Pinochet in power, who
then proceeded to murder thousands of inncocent civilians
and drive thousands more from the country during his
18 year reign of terror. How about we make a game to see
how many democratic governments America has overthrown
in order to place in power a military regime sympathetic
to US interests? I'll get you started... Chile, Iraq, Iran,
El Salvador, Honduras, Guatamela. How about all the countries America has been at war with in the fifty years
since WW2; China (1945-48,1950-53), Korea (1950-53), Guatemala (1954,1967-69), Indonesia (1958), Cuba (1959-60),
Belgian Congo (1964), Peru (1965), Laos (1964-73), Vietnam (1961-73), Cambodia (1969-70), Grenada (1983), Libya (1986),
El Salvador (1980's), Nicaragua (1980's), Panama (1989),
Iraq (1991-99), Bosnia (1995), Sudan (1998), Yugoslavia (1999), Afghanistan (2001), Iraq (2002-?).

I guess the label "terrorist" depends on which side of
American foreign policy you happen to fall on. For all you
hoodwinked patriots, who have had your heads shrink-wrapped
by the flag, thus stifling real thoughts, I am sorry for
having burst your bubble (not that I think there are any of
those on Likicks).
