please do not take my question in the wrong way, i do not want to see another war, but i wonder about the statement

"A 1999 UNICEF report calculated that more than half a
million children had died as a direct result of sanctions since 1990 (an average
of 200 per day)"
Billions of dollars of oil money have flowed into to Iraq since 1990 hard to believe that sanctions are responsible for the death of all those children, what has he done with all that money? So much of the anti war rhetoric just seems like excuses for his insanity. why not just say no to war, be opposed to the war without trying to defend Iraq as a poor little country minding its own bussiness being picked on by the war mongering people of the usa.
