the ending of this story…this telling clenched my heart in such a way…it was, hmm, i don’t even know how to say. it was beautiful in its simplicity but so tragic in its complexity. soul mates…soul mates…soul mates…i once told a friend of mine, over a pint of beer that held us together, such an idea was pointless, futile, defeatist. now…after reading your anam cara…i hope to whatever god there can possibly be that it’s true, real and wonderful…however, i hope it can last.
