a cat squinting in air

Posted to Action Poetry

i really didn't need to hear from you
yr letter like a locust, my skyline
rough for the plucking, what you
don't know is the way i can see through
i'll bet you that you can't even make it
until midnight, that's the time i have
set for the unveiling, yr impatience that
is stitched into yr sleeve in red thread
like veins, the way yr eyes fog over,
i've lost your here, again, haven't i?
these lessons are a prime violin gamble
the money you wager is a fat perception
lost in string music, i open the way
you close, lazy, a cat squinting in air
