imperceptible love poem #7: travel
i have wandered for hours across the planes of your skin.
pathless, i trip along you, listening carefully for the winds of your breathing to move across this space.
i take in the scenery of you:
hands and mouth winding along your wide open spaces
slipping over your edges
journeying across your chest
pausing there, in the scent of your shoulder.
there is an end to this aimless travel,
but i feel no rush--
reading your skin like a map of your desire,
i will get to where i'm going.
