death is not an option nor a reward

Posted to Action Poetry

Death never wins
Justice is always
Faster than death
Says the barefoot one
We old move slowly
Our accusers much younger
Keener, Quicker
See they have overtaken us as
Just as Justice will someday overtak them
But I, a condemned man
So soon cello breathing heart
Departs to my reward
So, too, shall they abide
Their own fated award:
Villiany and wrong
Will not escape
My murderers will not escape
The accuser, will someday
Like all others, account for this life
There is no escape
In his case
Death is not the award
Just the end of the reward
