Among your medals.

Posted to Action Poetry

do it again,
bleed me with your greed,
turn your knife,
a little this way
and that,
and look innocent.

I'll blame
myself for believing
empty words,
a pile of stones now,
laying heavy
in my gut.

shadow teacher
i'm your marionette,
frayed strings,
distort my angles,
you dangle promises
of plastic bait.

Ambivalent teaser,
display my heart,
among your other medals
shiny and bright,
reflecting empty heats
upon your ice.
