For the beautiful ones (inspired by a gay irishman with a nod to Jack)

Posted to Action Poetry

We all walk in the gutter
but some of us are looking for the stars
those crazy twinkling diamond lights in life
The colourful mad ones who remind us that sometimes we can soar and sing.
Those ones who burn like fabulous yellow roman candles twisted through a fractured jewel
Hobos and hipsters,poets and priests
the people with fire in their veins that burns like a beacon to lead us children of paradise through the deserts of darkness into the promised land
So as my heart begins to rise a moth to their light I strike up a tune and sing my song to the beautiful ones
