i snatch at life
push torn remnants in
my greedy mouth.

desire's wittling away
at my hips,
melting flesh from
already fragile ribs.
leeching the color
from my palid skin.

i'll offer you
my piece of this star.
we'll ride deserts,
carry sunsets between
the laticework of our fingers.

we can be gods,
or kneel before
some pure intentions.

i'd bruise my knees
for the sake of your name.
