This Year

Posted to Action Poetry

This year the slow chill in the air hasn't been betrayed
by Winter's assassin snow. The leaves have chosen to
linger longer, hanging around to show off their chameleon
colors. With some luck, children may get to trick-or-treat
without thermal socks and golashes. While the cold slap
of wind-whipped rain will choose to stay in, children will
roam out in the moonlit night terrorizing pumpkins and
freeing candy bar prisoners. This year Fall has chosen
to slowly melt the hughes of the season, simmering and
stirring together a feast of colors for so many
beauty-starved eyes.
