tattered remnants of shattered dreams
float like embers of a dying fire
ashes
souls together
miles apart
roads diverge and
re-
CONNECT
bruised
fists of verbs and nouns
pound down on fragile heart
lashings of careless words
scar
night falls
darkness folds you into her deep skirt
hide you from the flailing arms of my pain
