an artist's "life" and "artwork" should really be kept separate. if the artist didn't mean for something to be public, then no matter how brilliant someone thinks it is, they would be selfish to bring something private like that into the open after the artist's death or whatever.

like hitler? yes he was a poor excuse for a human being, to say the least. but.. if i liked his artwork.. i'd still consider him a brilliant artist and not let my judgment of either his artwork or his character cloud judgment of the other.

am i clear as mud? lol..
