How I hate those who talk of the police as harbingers of justice and the state as enforcers of it…As for me, I prefer anarchy. I angrily revoke the social contract; I never signed it. I like to dream of a society where murder can be bought off with 60 camels. All too often, the system is so perverse that rich executives and rapist get less time then petty thieves and drug dealers; the innocent are put to death; the prison system is a cottage industry promising jobs to communities and at the same time denying convicts the ability to support their families or contribute to societal good. Who, in their right mind, would find that ‘the justice system’ is any better then no system at all?
