made to order, yeah, we'd need a book to sample. but targeted distribution might be a good idea. i mean, if we order, say, 2 thousand copies (there's probably a minimum), we could flood 2 bookstores each in boston, dc, portland, sf, and nyc with a couple hundred each and then send copies to small publishing houses or agents. if we were to advertise some web sites in it, and also advertise a reading or two in it, then that might stir up some interest.
i guess what i'm thinking is do one issue and then hope for someone to pick up the finances, or at least that would enable us to try and sell subscriptions and copies to bookstores.
