<1. Overall, why do you post your original writing to LitKicks? Do you do it just solely to get it out there? Just to share or see your words on the page? Or do you post your works for feedback and response? (I realize that this may vary with the type of post, so be as rambling as you want here.)>
Yes, all of the above. Plus, I am a born exhibitionist. But I think you pretty well gave the difinitive answer in the phrase "this may vary with the type of post." In other words, I post here because my work is screaming to be read and I would prefer the feedback of my fellow writers most of whom have a fair grip on what flies and what doesn't.
<2. If you're posting for feedback, what type of feedback are you looking for? Praise (it's ok to say yes, we all like it!)? Constructive Criticism? Hard-hitting analysis? A call-and-answer type reply?>
Again, fc, this depends on the type of post. i think we are all looking for praise, but we want sincere praise and not patronization. When I post poetry or creative pieces, I like it when I get responses in kind. When I pose questions, I like almost any kind of answer, serious and straightforward or flippant and sarcastic. Constructive criticism is always a benefit and welcome. i also have the option to ignore it.
<3. When you read posts at LitKicks, to what percentage of those (roughly) do you reply? What types of replies do you often find yourself making?>
I reply to maybe one out of ten that I read
mostly on the basis of who is making sense
and what kind of mood i'm in
<4. Do you find it's hard to know exactly how to reply to posts?>
Only to K&D *smile
<5. If you are looking for critique/reply to your poem or story, do you include (PC) in the title? Are you more likely to post it to the Poetry board, as its purpose is to provide more of a 'workshop' atmosphere? Or do you post it elsewhere because you feel the traffic is higher?>
I always go for the audience. And anybody want's to fight about my posts or anything else----come on with it.
<6. Why do you think most people reply/do not reply?>
