what is with all this
talk of "innocent people"?
I mean, you don't see the Muslim extremists/terrorists saying that America is innocent and the President is the only one to suffer. No. They are saying that America and the ways they live, those under its government are deserving of death. You don't see either the terrorists or threatened Hussein saying, oh, well, we'll be sure not to kill all the peace-nicks but we'll do away with the others. No.
I think we throw this idea around to freely.
There can't ever be a war where an "innocent" will not be threatened.
Those who support Hussein in Iraq and have anti-American sentiments and say that we deserve the attacks we've received, and more, are they innocent?
"lf there is a country which has committed unspeakable atrocities, it is the United States of America...They don't care for human beings."
"Because they decided to kill innocent people in Japan, who are still suffering from that, who are they now to pretend that they are the policeman of the world?..." he asked.
Oh yes, of course, the whole goal was killing innocent people instead of stopping the Japanese who were hell-bent on attacking despite all obstacles, unwilling to be appeased. And aren't we all upset that it was them instead of us, eh?
I think Manela is off base.
It's not all black and white.
