i have a terrible memory. And lots of what you say here rang a bell. for the life of me i can't seem to remember the silliest things. only, people don't find that so silly. i'm only 28, but, yes, i have wondered about alzheimers; why i don't remember...
i have a pretty good long term memory. it's my short term that sucks. i can tell you what i ate for my 5th birthday and with who. don't ask me what i just had for lunch though. or where.

yes, this would most definitely be me. and it's not funny. freaky. horribly. worst, i hate the feeling of...stupidity that accompanies it.

ps i loved that book. the heart is a lonely hunter. i'm guessing you know about it. Carson McCullers. Ballad of the Sad Cafe is really good too.
