Damn am I excited!... Just submitted an opinion/ramble/critique of Heller's masterpiece Catch 22... I must say that Catch 22 is the only novel I've read so far that is afflicted by both touches of genius and retardation....
I have a quick question that I was hoping you all might be able to help me with... what period is Heller from? I put him down as a Modernist/ Jazz writer, but I now realize that that is wrong. I believe he wrote the novel in the 50s... does that make him a post modernist?... or some other -ist? thanks
