i think reality precedes words on many occasions,
at least as often
as words precede reality.

I think heidegger meant that reality is when words and the world coincide - or co-abide, as oppose to any of each preceding each other.
It's dangerous to say words precede reality - it means we have nothing to base our ideas on.
