i agree with you here

i don't take "facts" seriously most of the time. history class is really bugging me now because of course when languages are translated, intentions are skewed. this happens even when languages aren't translated.

my confusion about christianity changed to real questioning when i realized that meanings are lost in translations. my parents drill into my head that i should finish reading the bible, but i don't find a lot of point in that, since translations lose a lot of intentions in words. so, how are we to know what truly happened? even history can't back anything up, since words' meanings change over time, and people attach their ideas and perceptions to words before they're even communicated to others.

being cynical is often a good thing, i think.
