and you say

Posted to Poetry and Politics

you're not a poet?
you spoke straight to my heart, my soul and my wandering feet
the pirate and poet in me longed to to be on the sea and watch the changing season

we celebrated the equinox here
with debauchery
well, with seafood chowder and red wine and kahlua

but truly
I longed to be with my aquarian kin
shooting through deep blue velvet with diamonds of phosphoresence glinting on my naked skin
diving beneath the rolling waves to heed the call of a millenia of renewal
spring in mother ocean

I can hear her siren voice calling me home
thank you
