I agree, for the most part. One thing I've had a hard time dealing with is all the conspiracy theories I've heard on this site and elsewhere. Since you sound like a reasonable sort, I'm curious as to what you think about all the accusations that the Bush administration is trying to dominate (colonize?) the world to essentially line its own pockets on the backs of poor people in newly-"liberated" American puppet regimes. Oil is main suspect, but I'm also hearing a lot about the contracts to rebuild Iraq (Bechtel, et al) and the corporate connections to Bush's team. I've even heard it suggested that the 9/11 attacks were "allowed to happen" by the administration, but I don't think I could ever bring myself to believe this. Is Bush sincerely trying to do the right thing, or is he motivated only by a staggering amount of greed and a complete disregard for human life? Are there elements of both? Which is closer to the truth?
