One day -
wandering through the library searching for a Hunter Thompson book, I ran into 'The Killer inside me' - I think the cover had a quote of Stanley Kubrick on it so I brought it home and read it. "I thought it was great." Classic 'crime' noir, but 'crazified.'
From what I remember, the final scene was scary as hell - with the house burning, and the deputy finding out that the woman was still alive.
I felt like the insane deputy while reading it - Thompson is a good writer, I read another book by him right after that and was as equally impressed, I can't remember the name...
